HLTAID009 Provide CPR gives you the skills needed to respond to a medical emergency until qualified medical help takes over.
This Provide CPR (HLTAID009) unit is a nationally accredited unit of competency. This course will provide you with a recognised certification.
After completing this Provide CPR unit, you will be able to provide the necessary skills needed to respond to a medical emergency with the goal of saving lives, reducing pain and injury until qualified medical help takes over.
The theoretical part of this course is online, which means you can study in your own time and at your own pace. Once you have completed the theoretical part online, you must attend a face-to-face practical session with a qualified Trainer & Assessor in a Victorian classroom.
You must attend the practical classroom session within 3 months of completing the online theoretical portion of this unit.

Complete the online theory, then attend your required practical session with a qualified trainer and assessor.
This course includes online theory and a required face-to-face classroom practical session. It cannot be completed fully online. To be marked competent, students must complete the required online theory, attend the classroom practical session, participate in practical CPR scenarios, and successfully complete CPR assessment requirements.
CPR assessment requires students to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor. If you have an injury, disability, pregnancy, mobility restriction, or any other concern that may affect your ability to complete practical tasks, please contact Eclipse Education before booking so we can discuss support options or reasonable adjustments. Reasonable adjustments can be made where appropriate, but they cannot change the required skills or assessment conditions of the unit.
Photo ID is required before assessment evidence can be accepted. A USI is required before your Statement of Attainment can be issued. An LLN and digital literacy check may be completed at enrolment to confirm the course is suitable and identify any support needs.
