Assessment and Successful Completion
CPCWHS1001 covers roles, responsibilities and duty of care, safe work practices, construction hazards and risk controls, the purpose and use of PPE, and workplace communication and reporting processes. Assessment reflects the unit requirements through knowledge questions, practical demonstration and oral or written reporting activities. The trainer will explain each task and the evidence required.
You must participate in the full class and successfully complete all required assessment activities before a Statement of Attainment can be issued. Contact Eclipse before booking if you need to discuss language, literacy, accessibility or other reasonable support needs.
Statement of Attainment and Physical White Card
These are two different documents. Eclipse Education issues the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment after you successfully complete CPCWHS1001 and applies to WorkSafe Victoria on your behalf. WorkSafe advises allowing up to 60 days for the physical card to arrive by mail. A construction Statement of Attainment from an approved RTO can be used as evidence of completed induction training during that 60-day processing period.
Victorian delivery rule: this course cannot be completed online. WorkSafe Victoria requires construction induction training to be delivered face-to-face by an approved RTO and to run for at least six hours.

What is a White Card?
A White Card is evidence that you have completed general construction induction training. In Victoria it is issued by WorkSafe after successful completion with an approved RTO. A separate site-specific induction may still be required by an employer or site controller.
Can I complete White Card training online?
No. WorkSafe Victoria requires construction induction training in Victoria to be completed face-to-face in a classroom with an approved Registered Training Organisation. Online White Card courses are not accepted in Victoria.
What should I bring to the class?
Bring your original photographic identification and a pen. You must also complete the pre-course enrolment and LLN steps and provide a verified USI, unless formally exempt. Contact Eclipse before class if you are unsure whether your ID is acceptable.
Do I need to bring my own PPE?
No, you do not need to bring your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We supply all required safety gear, including hard hats, safety goggles, earmuffs, and high-visibility vests, for use during the assessment. However, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
How long does it take to receive my White Card?
After successful completion, Eclipse Education issues your Statement of Attainment and applies to WorkSafe Victoria for your card. WorkSafe advises allowing up to 60 days for the physical card to arrive by mail.
Can I start working after receiving my certificate?
